I was really happy with this corded chandelier and the finished look. However, I would recommend a few modifications. 1) The included hook used to attach it to the ceiling is a silver X that does not at all compliment the design, so I ordered a 5-516 light canopy kit with cover plate and mounting hardware to give it a more polished look at the top. 2) Even though the cord is clear, it still stood out to me against my white ceiling, so I also ordered a self-adhesive d-line half round cord hider to better help it blend. For the bulbs, I used 7 watt Edisons in soft white that are amazingly bright. I was able to complete the entire project myself with a quality drill and trusty ladder!

Very convenient for apartment with no ceiling light. Easy to install and perfect lighting.

Fabulous fixture! Easy to install, no hardwiring required! Use appliance lightbulbs or Edison style bulbs, for totally different vibe

Love it! Goes perfect in my mid century modern living room! And having an older home with no ceiling light boxes, makes it hard to find nice lighting like this.

Metal is cheap but it looks great once you add linear bulbs it hides it. 100 recommend to avoid wiring
