When I placed my order I was a bit confused. I thought this was an entire recessed lighting unit, but it is only the outer trim. I contacted customer service and got everything straightened out. Only issue was that I wish the outside ring was a little bigger. My original 5" can lights had a ring that went out to a full 6".
