Unfortunately this container is not waterproof. It is made of pieces fastened together with seams that let large amounts of water through them. It is attractive.

NOT HAPPY AFTER SPENDING ABOUT $ 2000. RECENTLY AND NEVER HAD A RETURN THIS PREDUCT WAS OF VERY POOR QUALITY AND DOES NOT RESEMBLE THE PICTURE WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO RETURN WAS TOLD I HAD TO PAY PAY RETURN SHIPPING WILL THINK TWICE FUTURE PURCHASES

Love this "vase". It looks ancient middle eastern to me - color tones of pewter & aged brass. Very light weight w high was a surprise. Have to be careful that oasis used for floral arrangements is taped to the vase so the flowers (real or aux) don't topple over. It's perfect for floral arrangements that are viewed from all angles / 360 degrees.
