I had put together the rest of the heater when I pulled the base out of the box and discovered it was cracked. Then, when I tried to attach the cracked base to the pole, the holes did not line up due to some hard plastic (glue?) inside the mounting collar. I used a rubber mallet to try to line up the holes. After these assembly disappointments, I used it for the first time tonight. I was also a bit disappointed in the function. We chalked it up to a bit of a breeze, but had expected more heat. We will try it again.

Great outdoor heater. Gets hot very fast. Adjustable height and angle. Wish it had high low options and a full length waterproof cover.
