It arrived cracked all the way across on the armrest. I decided not to return it and just patch it up as best I could (Because the size of the bench made it more trouble than it was worth and I did rip the packaging) The part that was cracked was the second horizontal bar of the armrest. Beautiful bench and easy assembly but they should put more into the packing of the item. Heavy wood on top of another piece of heavy wood with no Styrofoam, bubble wrap, nor peanuts.
