Clever redesign of some mechanical issues in a venerable system, now to prevent telescoping of the spear into the cylinder and with beveling on one side of the locking nubbin so that a firm twist permits detachment without needing a tool to push in the nubbin. You can choose not to use the supplied chain hooks because you can run the chain directly through the same cylinder-top slots that would hold the hook plates. There is no need to cut chain because you can easily hide any excess chain inside a cylinder.
