Replaced 12 year old unit and was expecting more. Works fine for heating and the hood system vents about the same as our previous unit. Two super annoying issues: No backlighting on the keypad means you must have kitchen lights on to find anything at night, so if someone left the microwave light on you cannot just walk up in the dark and turn it off-you can't find the keys. Also, you can only turn All sounds produced by the unit On/Off. So, if you wanted to turn off the key press beeping so your family can be less disturbed when making that early coffee or breakfast, you wont have anything letting you know when your items are finished going forwards- its all on or nothing. Also, the tune that plays when it finishes is a bit dated and not changeable. On a positive it looks nice.

Handle has crumbed from the heat of the stove. LG has been terrible to with fixing this issue. Their solution was to send me the same handle again, which is not a solution. Do not recommend purchasing.

I have had this microwave for just a few months. I want to echo what others have said. The fan is loud. Our microwave does not have built in exhaust that is piped out, so the fan blows through the front vent. Also, just today, the light went out. I looked at the bulb, but I don't see any issue. So, I'm not sure what the issue is.

Overall, an excellent microwave oven. The touch pad is very difficult to read in low light.

Microwave works great, is very compact.Only issue is that when you have the light on for the stove top that the glass rotation base inside gets hot.
