LG NeoChef Countertop Microwave with Smart Inverter and Sensor Cooking, Stainless Steel, 1.5 cu. ft. MSER1590S

This Microwave is a piece of Junk! First one out of the box failed in less than 11 months. Replacement from LG lasted less than 10 months. And that's with less use. I will NEVER buy any LG product again! Now that I know the company doesn't care about their customers or their products enough to build quality, I will NEVER recommend LG to a friend and never to family.

We've had the unit approximately for 2 months. The look of the unit is easy on the eyes, and we have not experienced a single problem or complaint on its operation. Three minor suggestions, if anybody is listening. 1) The buttons need a more positive tactile feel to them. 2) The door needs a hand hold with a function to control the latch to avoid the banging of the door every time it is closed. 3) The audio annunciation (push button, mode, cycle complete, etc.) needs to be louder, maybe some form of volume adjustment. I would buy it again (I hope not to have to) and would recommend it to family and friends.

Sensor heat worked, twice and now it consistently overheats even simple beverages to the point that you can't even pick up the mug. The popcorn setting also burned the popcorn. Never had that happend in 20 years with my previous microwaves. Disappointing.

We were excited to get this microwave with the Smart Inverter with 10 yr. warranty on the part, only to have a plastic hinge on the door release fail within a few years. I have purchased a new front panel at half the cost of replacing the entire unit, and am installing it myself to save money. What good is a 10 yr. warranty on a magnatron, when the rest of the product doesn't last?

Cost for the functional value was good, I do like the fact that its inverter technology allows for actual heating intensity levels, rather than on/off timed thermostatic control, as in older technology. A few minor annoyances however. For one thing, it is the most sensitive device in the hose to power outages. Less than 10 AC cycles of lost power, fewer than it would take to throw of coffee machine or any household clocks, and it will reset its time. that wouldn't be a problem, if it did not insist on paying a "tune" as if it were just plugged in, which is enough to wake light sleepers. Our other isse is the low quality construction of the plastic rotor mechanism, that allows the carousel to rotate on its plastic wheels. They are noisy, and a little more attention to design could have made this better.
