This range is advertised with wi-fi connectivity, which is a flat-out lie. It uses Bluetooth to connect to a range that has wi-fi connectivity, meaning if your range does not have Bluetooth, you just bought an overpriced, normal hood with no connectivity and no cool features.

Buyer beware this only is able to connect to a range. IT DOES NOT HAVE WIFI. I am hoping this takes away any other potential buyers problems. All I have gotten is support telling me yes I am correct it does not have wifi. It does not function with the SmartThings app as the app doesn't support the model. Look at other smart home range hoods if you want to connect it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love that this goes great with all of our Samsung kitchen appliances, great ventilation, lighting and easy to clean. Unfortunately the Bluetooth doesn’t connect and it doesn’t have the Samsung smart connection to make it more convenient and efficient for our new smart home.

Nice sleek design, and powerful fan. As I read the other reviews... then only feature that doesn't work, and is pretty useless, is the Bluetooth connectivity. It doesn't connect to my new Samsung Oven/Cooktop, nor does it connect to my phone or SmartThings app... very vague in the user guide too... pretty disappointing, b/c this would've been the icing on the cake for this appliance.
