Hood is in, custom vent hood built. Works great, love the lights. Included instructions were challenging as the did not cover custom install.

We cook every day, so I did not want a mesh screen like my previous vent hood. I knew I also wanted physical push buttons rather than touch controls. I have a 30 inch gas range and the ZLINE 721-34 vent hood checked every box for me at a price that was hard to beat. Look at my photo, the lights are adjustable, I must have missed that in my research but that is AWESOME! It pulls smoke and grease very well. When I'm searing I run it on high, but otherwise I keep it on low or medium. Running it on high while I sear beats having the house smell like dinner and grease traveling everywhere. Very happy with my choice. It was a much needed upgrade.

We love our zline vent hood insert. The lighting is great for the cooking area and it’s powerful ventilation keeps our area free of smoke when cooking.

My contractor had a hard time fitting it into the hood cover but overall, the hood works great and looks amazing. It is not as quiet as I thought it would be.

Have had this installed for a few months. Installation was straightforward and operation is good. It's a solidly built unit. This unit though is very loud. I thought my previous Sirius unit was loud, but this one puts that to shame. It sounds like the wind blowing across the frigid Tundra. I did reach out to Z-line for suggestions and they told me to flip the filters around. This made a noticeable difference because the whistling stopped, but overall the noise level didn't not diminish. With one or both of the filters removed the unit is silent. It's definitely the design of the filters. It would be nice if another filter option was available.
