I am extremely disappointed and, more importantly, very concerned about the safety of this product. The bed is nowhere near the quality, construction, or safety that was represented in the listing. The product was advertised as being made of solid wood and plywood. However, after assembling and examining the bed, it appears that out of approximately 52 individual wood pieces, only around four are actually solid wood. The majority appear to be made from a much lower-quality material. The entire bed feels extremely flimsy, unstable, and poorly constructed. The bed is also **very shaky and bends under very little weight**. I specifically purchased the full-size version because I have two young children, and I wanted enough space for them to sleep comfortably while allowing me or their father to sleep beside them when necessary. That was one of the main reasons I chose a full-size bed. Instead, we are now afraid to even sleep beside our children in this bed. The wooden slats/supports underneath the mattress, which function similarly to a box spring, visibly bend even when my five-year-old gets onto the bed. This is extremely concerning. When both of my children are sleeping in the bed, even normal movement from one child causes the entire bed to shake, which wakes the other child. The instability makes the bed uncomfortable, impractical, and, most importantly, makes us question whether it is safe for our children or for an adult to sleep beside them. The entire purpose of purchasing a full-size children's bed has therefore been completely defeated. There are also multiple other serious workmanship and safety problems: * The frame is flimsy, shaky, and bends under normal use. * The wooden supports underneath the mattress bend even under the weight of my five-year-old. * The entire bed shakes when either child moves. * There are rough, unfinished surfaces throughout the bed. * Pieces of nails/metal are protruding from parts of the frame. One of these actually scratched my young child's foot. * The slide is extremely flimsy and does not feel safe. I have been afraid to allow my children to use it without me physically accompanying them. * The finish does not match what was represented as a natural wood finish. The surface is rough and appears essentially unfinished rather than properly finished. * The bed had a very strong and unusual odor when it was first assembled. * After my child slept in the bed for the first time, she developed an unusual rash. I took her to a doctor, and the doctor raised the possibility that something in the materials or something applied to the wood could potentially be contributing to the reaction. The bed was the only significant new change in her environment at that time. This is not simply a matter of personal preference or dissatisfaction with the appearance of the furniture. **This is a children's bed with apparent structural, workmanship, and safety defects, including protruding nails that have already scratched my child.** I paid $1,500 before tax because I expected a properly constructed, safe, high-quality children's bed. Instead, I received a product that I believe is materially different from what was advertised and that I do not consider safe for my children.
