Lit superposé convertible avec bureau interchangeable et 2 tiroirs

Man, this is one of the toughest pieces of furniture I've put together. This comes together in two primary chunks. The bed/table portion is a relative breeze to build, and everything went together OK except that piece #18 was cut too large and wouldn't fit in without being trimmed down on my bandsaw. When I got to the bookshelf/stair unit, things took a turn for the worse. Piece #39 was missing the holes on the sides that aligned it into pieces 35 and 33. Piece #44 was either cut too tall or there was a groove missing on piece 40 or 39 for it to fit into, so it made things fit strangely. When you get to step 23, everything wants to fall apart, especially the pink flip-down doors. Piece 35 should be laid on its side for step 23, not standing vertically. Step 17 says to use screw R to secure the magnetic latch plate, which is correct, step 21 says to do the same operation with screw S. If you use screw S to do this, they poke through the front of the pink melamine, which ruins those pieces. There isn't really a good way to know which way pieces #39 and #40 go (the countersinks face up). Predrilled holes for the bed slats are common for furniture like this and really should have been included. The last step is building the little roller drawers that go under the bed. They have you drive screws into the end grain of plywood, and it blows out. Overall my kid is happier with this piece of furniture than I am.

Easier to install than I thought! Came in 3 boxes. Took my wife and I about a day to put together. Definitely recommend.
