I would like to give this 0 stars, but the review requires 1. The overall quality of the bunk beds is questionable. I wish I had taken pictures during the assembly process instead of powering through it, since the majority of the defects really collected towards the end of the assembly. For starters, the screws and the intended screw holes did not always line up. The quality of the wood is also suspect. There are a number of rough edges that can easily give me or my daughters a rough splinter. There are cracks and imperfections that can be seen on the outer surfaces of the bunk beds. The most glaring issue and imperfections were discovered while putting together the house and the lower bed frame. The house walls and roof did not line up perfectly, which made assembly a chore (forcing wooden sections to bend a bit to screw together). While putting together the lower bed frame, one of the long sides was clearly warped (putting this one next to the matching side, one can clearly see the curvature of the wood). Again, forcing this against the section to be screwed in was rather difficult. At some point, I could hear cracking noises as the wood was bent and reshaped. Once everything was fully assembled (I am very much surprised that there were no missing screws, as that would have been the last straw), the structural integrity of the bunk beds is questionable and not what I would expect from a bunk bed at this price point. Watching my girls climb to the top bunk severely hampers any confidence I have in this structure holding. To comment on the wooden slats, I can clearly see those are thinner strips that have been glued together, and not solid pieces. I can only hope that they never crack and split under regular use. The paint job appears to have been applied with a spray mechanism, exhibiting signs of uneven coating and strips where the paint spray did not seem to cover. During assembly, there was a noticeable odor. While it seems to have aired out, I am not entirely too confident that this will NOT pose any type of health risk (even the most minute of discomfort due to whatever chemical exists in the paint). Lastly, the instructions were not the best. Having different screw sizes and trying to decipher what goes where could have been worse, but I managed to line up everything, but not without significant focus. I am reiterating, that this price point clearly does not reflect the expected quality and craftsmanship. Please refer to the pictures that I am able to upload. It would pain me to take this apart and attempt to return this, but my daughters need somewhere to sleep. Surely these beds will hold and not cause any issue until I can find a suitable replacement.

Adorable! My girls are in heaven. (there were a few bumps & bruises on the product; however, Wayfair c/s came through to assist!)
