This is just what we were looking for. Stairs for safety, and a small desk that leaves plenty of room under the loft for playing. I was able to build this by myself in a day (breaks for mom-ing and work) and the bed was very easy to assemble. The stairs where honestly really trickey to build. I gave it 4 stars because several pieces came with dents (they are thenkfully on the backside), the screws for the doors on the stairs did not hold well (the bottom one we ended up keeping off for the cat), and lastly the rails are not as high as I'd like. We plan to add a net to the side for our own peace of mind.

This set has held up well. That being said though, not super sturdy but holds the weight of my daughter and either myself or my husband. The finish on the desk is a bit flimsy - she taped something to it and it took off the finish.

Very flimsy and poor quality. Sways and moves constantly, wood isn't solid. After a year we are looking for a new bed.

Great bed and my son is very pleased with it. Assembly was fairly simple but it does take a lot of time! A couple of the pieces did come in a bit dented, 2 of the 3 stair pieces had peeling paint, as well as most of the stair pieces had ware marks on them. Be patient putting it together and build it in the room you’re going to put it in. Some of the pieces in box 1 were actually in box 2, and the hardware was all in box 2. The stair pieces you can move out of the way and keep the mattress off till the very end.

A lot of the complaints in the reviews are due to the installation. I paid for installation, so I didnt have those problems. This bed is awesome! Giving my kids their own rooms was my Xmas gift to them. Now theres less bickering and clutter. Winwin!
