This is very time-consuming to put together, which was expected given the size, but what was frustrating is we were shorted multiple hardware pieces (screws) and duvets. Additionally, there were a couple of pieces where large hardware holes were incorrectly drilled in the wrong location that were visibly caulked and painted over. The paint wasn’t evenly applied or cured properly - dried dripping lines in noticeable, highly visible areas of the bed frame. Also, the desk is narrow and the drawers are ugly and would not close properly even after neatly and securely placing all screws and pieces in the correct locations. I removed the drawers from the desk altogether because they do not impact the stability of the structure and removing them instantly elevated the look of the desk, in my opinion. There’s a large enough opening between the desk and the floor I was able to slide a nightstand under it that looks nicer than the hideous desk drawers that had an incessant amount of visible screws. Speaking of, the entire structure has large visible silver screws everywhere and no white covers are provided, it’s an eye soar. I understand given the mass of the structure the necessity for lots of large screws, but areas of high circulation and visibility, such as the stairs and desk drawers, could have been designed differently so the screws aren’t so conspicuous. I’ll be looking for grip carpet tiles to cover all the ugly bolts on the stairs. If the item wasn’t so large and a pain to put together (arrived in three boxes), I’d return. But given the size and complexity, it’s not worth anymore additional stress or time. For the high price tag, I expected better.
