The Good: Actual Wood. Construction (when followed) seems to be put together well. Good hardware. The kiddo loves it. People seem impressed by it. It seems solid and unmoveable, so from a safety standpoint, I feel mostly okay, but I will probably add some reinforcement, because if some key points fail, there's not really failsafes. The Bad: Construction took 22 hours total. To be fair included emptying the bedroom, doing things solo, having to start and stop to deal with a neurotic dog who didn't like being gated out of the room, and slowing WAY down at the end because my body was broken. But also, the hardware came thrown together in random baggies with tiny little pieces of paper with printed numbers and you'd better hope you have the time to identify an A4-50mm bolt and A4-60mm bolt since they'll be in the same bag. I could, but it took time. One of the rails had a cam hole drilled in the wrong side, so I had to modify it. Also, I will say regarding the bed slats, I will probably add some reinforcements to the upper bunk. They are holding up (my wife and daughter we on top the other night and I was chilling on the bottom and everything was fine as it was probably about 350lbs, but I could see the stress). Additionally, the instructions and hardware were in the 2 out of 3 box, which was the last place I checked, so all boxes and parts were out on the floor, making it harder. Also the stairs are very steep, so if you're child is smaller, that will be a problem. My kid is 4ft tall and 8 years old and she can manage, but still is basically crawling up on all 4s. Drawers were a pain, but I have yet to put together a drawer that isn't. We're only 2 weeks in, but so far it's holding up well.

a piece of junk. In less than 6 months, and the drawers are already broken - the wheel literally cracked in half so I cant use it, the bed slats are so flimsy they cracked after my kids were sitting together on the edge of the bed (together they are barely half the weight limit)...the holes where the rail is attached to the upper bunk were defective and within a few weeks the screws had popped out and are stripped. I mean I knew I was buying from Wayfair but I didnt expect such an unsafe piece of junk. Do not buy this what a waste I dont feel safe with anyone on the top bunk and Im going to have to get my kid an entirely new bedroom set because this thing is literally falling apart. I could have spent the same amount at max lily and gotten a quality, solid wood bunk bed set.

Solid bed that looks great and our kids love it.
