This bunk bed set look nice in the picture but was a true challenge to put together. For two little boys it is very accommodating however the third potential trundle is not what I expected it to be. It works for now I like the fact that you can separate the beds to individual twin beds. But that doesnt really leave a whole lot of ideas for the staircasebookshelf. I will add this tidbit there is a lot of maneuvering and trying to figure out where things go even though instructions were included it still took longer than 4 hours for three people to put this together. Also there were some warped pieces and pieces that basically did not have pre-drilled holes. Trying to get things replaced is like a needle in the haystack. Overall I would probably not recommend this to anyone that is looking for something for longevity, but just for a short time
