This is a sturdy bunk bed with plenty of room for an adult to sit on the bottom bunk and read to children. A lot of previous reviews commented on the difficulty of the assembly, but I found the assembly to be manageable by taking it slow and methodically. I was able to assemble nearly all of it by myself and really only needed a second person's help to lift the top bunk above the lower bunk. Our kids are thrilled with the bunk bed and it's SOLID. That was really important to me, so I'm happy with that. The gray is a nice neutral color that goes with everything in the room. It looks great. We haven't assembled the drawers yet, but we're happy with the most important part--the bed.

Sturdy and well made. Have not had for long enough to determine how it holds up term wear and tear. Wish the drawers came with some protective bumpers. Will likely ding bed and stairs over time. Over all very please with purchase and delivery.

Looks and feels sturdy. Solid pine construction. Painted solid color medium gray (no grain or weathering). Paint smell lingers a bit. 5'5" adult can sit up on bottom and top bunk. The bottom end panels cover bottom drawers which gives it a classier look. Would look better from bottom bunk if top mattress supports were painted. Takes room to assemble but not too difficult.
