Love it for 2 year old twins who want to share a bed

We bought this bed for our son and have some genuine gripes after assembling and living with it. Assembly: Doable by one person, but it's tedious. Budget more time than you'd expect. Wood quality: It's pine, and several pieces had dark blotchy marks, likely blue stain fungus, which is common on pine lumber. Doesn't affect strength, but it's not a good look. Panels: The panels under the railing are more like particleboard than real wood. Ours came with one scuffed panel, and the finish can't be cleaned or buffed without damaging it further. Combined with extra pre-drilled holes (probably for alternate configurations), the bed ends up looking cheap and unfinished. Shelf: The shelf on the back is noticeably thinner than shown in the product photos. I'd guess those images are edited, because it doesn't match what arrived. A large splinter also broke off shortly after assembly. Lights: The included lights aren't great. The small globe piece around the bulb pops off easily and is a real choking hazard for young kids. The light colour was also too cool for our taste, so we didn't end up using them. Bottom line: Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't have bought this bed. That said, we put in the work to assemble it and decided to keep it. Go in with realistic expectations on finish quality, and keep an eye on those lights around little ones.

This bed is adorable and came together pretty easily. I gave it 4 stars because there were some random holes left over that didn’t have hardware - it almost seemed like some pieces could also be used for other configurations. But all in all the storage and lights make it so cozy and cute.
