I am leaving this review 4 years after making this purchase. This bunkbed has been great. It has held up well with two boys climbing all over it. It has also survived a move and is still sturdy. The under bed storage is super handy. When we first got this bed, we did end up putting a wedge pillow for the gap between the lower mattress and the wall for our little one. We discovered he was able to slip back there pretty easily when he was smaller. The top bed doesn't have that issues because of the rails. Overall, an easy 5 stars for price, practicality and longer term durability.

We absolutely love these bunk beds! We’ve had them for a couple of years now, and they have held up really well. We especially love how versatile they are. You can easily convert them into two separate beds, and the ability to change the ladder placement has been so convenient as our kids’ room and needs have changed. The drawers underneath have been a total lifesaver for storage, especially in a kids’ room where you can never have enough! And the railing on the top bunk is perfect for our oldest. It gives me a lot of peace of mind knowing she has that extra security while sleeping up top. My only complaint, and the reason I’m knocking off a star, is that for the price, I expected the overall quality and finish to be just a little better. We have some noticeable marks and fading where the drawers open and close, and the wood/finish has dented and gotten marked up fairly easily over the years. It’s not anything that affects the functionality, but for how much these cost, I would expect them to look a little better after normal everyday use. That being said, they are VERY sturdy, and I have never once worried about my kids’ safety while they’re sleeping in them, which honestly, is the most important thing to me. They’ve held up through years of kids climbing, playing, and sleeping in them, and overall we’ve been really happy with them. I just wish the finish was a little more durable for the price!

We assembled our grandson’s bunk bed and had these two parts leftover. There doesn’t appear to be any mention of using them in the instructions. Anyone know what they are for
