Easy assembly! Slats attach securely into head and foot board, but it does not come with enough slats. We paired ours with a bunkie board and the mattresses is sagging. Maybe sufficient if used with a half size box spring, but that made the bed to high for our LO.

This product worked for our bed whose conversion kit was discontinued. So we were happy about that. The only reason for 4 stars is it’s not the sturdiest when carrying a mattress. We had to add slats and supports. But all in all a great product
