I purchased this play kitchen for my 6-yr old and 3-yr old daughters. My 6-yr old actually asked for the kitchen on her Christmas list this year, and she is really excited about the included phone. This gives her the option to pretend she's using a kitchen at home, or she pretends it is a restaurant and she takes orders over the phone. The kitchen is very cute once assembled. Cons are: directions are somewhat confusing; the "oven" compartments are too small to fit our Melissa & Doug wooden cookies baking sheet. Pros: burners and "fridge water" parts both make sounds and light up; there's a microwave; there's a phone; and the knobs on the faucet can be turned. Overall, I would recommend this kitchen..
