I have a memory foam bed without the cooling pad and it made sleeping so hot. I would have to shower before bed and in the morning again to wash off the sweat caused by the hot bed. I've slept on this mattress pad for 3 nights and have had the best sleep ever. No more waking up sweaty in the middle of the night or morning. I feel so refreshed in the morning I would highly recommend. I am getting one for my teen daughter who is hot all the time.

It's smooth and soft, and fits nicely on my thick mattress. I wouldn't say it cools me off but it does keep the heat from incinerating the bed with hot flashes. I'm very happy with it!
