Pompe utilitaire submersible 1/5 HP Thermoplastic

I have about 5 of these pumps. They work good at first and will last long time however not dependable. When overheat they stop. But most of all I wish they would come on every time you turn it on or when water gets under them. I have to prime it ( give it some air ) movevit around up and down to come on and not fun when raining outside in the cold. But better than little giant and less expensive

This pump works hard, can pump continually for days would not hesitate to buy another.

This proflo is an exact replacement for the one I have. Its being used in a water feature. Its about 2 years old and pumps water up about 10 feet into a sump that flows out over a wall. The old one worked fine for 1 1/2 years before it started turning off every 15 to 20 mins, I assume on thermal overload. It would come back on in 5 to 10 mins. Motor is submerged and not hot, amperage draw never changed. Installed new motor and the exact thing is occurring. Any input? I'm thinking of putting in a slightly larger pump but will have to change the plumbing configuration and was not wanting to do that.
