My daughter's pasta strainer had seen better days and I wanted to get her a new one for Christmas. It's nearly impossible to buy one separately from a large pot. At least one that was deep enough for a 6 qt. pot. This was the only one I could find that wasn't more than $100. It's a really nice pasta strainer insert. Well made and just the right size. In fact, it might be nicer than the pot she currently has. I'm thinking about getting myself a new one. Just for information: THIS IS THE INSERT ONLY.

I'm not a professional cook, or accomplished amateur, but I do cook regularly, and I prefer cooking on stainless steel as opposed to non-stick. This is a solidly made 8 inch frying pan, that feels like it will last forever. It's perfect size for when you don't need to use a larger frying pan. It's a little heavier than what I was expecting, but overall very happy with the purchase.
