I have an immersion blender that I rarely use because it is so difficult to clean. I was excited to find this one by Blendtec because it offers more features than my old one, AND the accessories are advertised to be dishwasher safe! For my first use, I tried "The Chopper", and the result were perfect! UNFORTUNATELY, when it came time to clean it, I checked the manual and found that while the chopper blade and bowl ARE dishwasher safe, the top component, the "Chopper Adapter" is NOT!!! The instructions say to wipe it with a damp cloth. A damp cloth??? After using the chopper, food residue gets into the crevice around the center component, making it extremely difficult to clean thoroughly. I had to painstakingly try to remove the residue by hand, and I certainly don’t consider that an acceptable cleaning solution. What a poor design! I am extremely disappointed. The whole reason I was excited about this product was the convenience of having dishwasher-safe accessories, only to discover that one of the most difficult-to-clean parts cannot go in the dishwasher.

For several years I've used another brand. That other brand needed to be replaced after 15 years, which I thought was a pretty good track record. The upgraded version did not have the power to even make mayo. I have a Blendtec regular blender that I rarely use, but I like. Looking for a new jar for that Blendtec I found that they carry immersion blenders. I bought. It makes mayo in less than a minute. I love the power this thing has! What a beast.

This is a really useful immersion blender to have around when in need to mix morning coffee beverages, protein shakes, and other beverages. I love the space-saving storage and easy one-handed usage.

Have been using mine for many months now. The blender tool itself is good. The stand is cheap and aggravating. When moving the set forward out of its place to grab a part or the blender itself, the stand component comes out of its hole. I think it is meant to but so aggravating to have to put it together all the time. The quality of the blender is incongruent with the cheap plastic holder. I would love to see a complete redesign of a holder or storage mechanism for this blender.

I absolutely love my immersion blender it makes chopping and blending food so easy. I also love that it is easy to use and easy to clean. I have made some great salsa using my blender! My only tip is that I didn't get this sooner!
