Save yourself the headache; don’t buy this. I was expecting the same type of quality I got from blue diamond’s cookware set, which I really enjoy. Straight out of the package, this thing seemed CHEAP. It squeeks and groans when you try to open and close it, like it needs oiling. I mean, it’s loud. Which I could handle if it weren’t simultaneously difficult to open. It also always felt like the plates never fit together correctly, making even cooking unlikely. The mechanism for removing the plates also seemed really finicky. But because I’m too lazy, I decided to just keep it. Big mistake. The button to eject the upper plate for washing broke and in such a way that does not allow me to reattach the upper plate. So that’s great. Because it broke 45 days after delivery of the item, instead of less than thirty, I can’t get a refund from Wayfair. And Blue Diamond only honors their 90 day money back guarantee if you purchased directly from their website, so they want to replace it instead of refund me. I don’t really have an interest in replacing this heap. But if you’re different than me and don’t mind throwing your money away, go ahead and buy this.
