Crock-Pot Cook and Carry 6 qt Silver Stainless Steel Slow Cooker

I have had this Crock-Pot for 9 years. Sadly, the crock part got a crack in the bottom and the juices from the sweet potatoes I was cooking leaked into the heater part. They are way more expensive now than I they were 8 years ago. So, I am shopping for a new one. The crock part I will use as a planter or something.

Wow. Instant regret. I purchased this unit to replace my 20+ year old trusted crockpot (same brand). This new unit is a cheap, flimsy, lightweight disappointment. Never again.

I have had this for many years! It still works like a champ. I absolutely love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used a crockpot for many years, happily. Mine had burned out and I received the Crockpot Cook and Carry Slow Cooker for Christmas. Previous models had handles on the porcelain portion so you could easily remove it when the food was cooked. I used it for the first time last evening and when I tried to lift out the porcelain, there were no handles and I could not lift it from the lip. I tried emptying it using the handles on the base and the porcelain portion fell out and shattered on the floor. I plan to contact customer service to see what can be done about this unfortunate experience.

I purchased this crockpot and after one use, i noticed a crack in the insert. How can i get a replacemnt insert?
