Vacuum Sealer is in “Like New” Condition. Despite “Expired” Warranty Period, used about 10 times at 8 Bags per Usage. Initially, the Sealer was difficult to Close, but after about 5 Uses, it became less “Stiff”. The “Light” comes on, but it doesn’t Seal. The “Button” gets hot and it “Sparks”!

I had to send the first sealer back to factory because it didn’t work. The positive experience here was that the Cuisinart agent was helpful and they made it easy. They sent me a new (or reconditioned?) unit at no cost. I found it didn’t work for the leftover, drained kidney beans: even the smallest amount of moisture can get caught up in the sealer and interfere with the sealing process. If any moisture is too moist for the unit to work on the “moist” setting, it will be of very limited use. I have to dry my chicken breasts before sealing. I’m purchasing stewing meat this week. It will be interesting to see how well it seals that product - or not. The user manual provided has only minimum utility.

What I thought was going to be a good sealer turned out to be a disaster and for that kind of money I thought I was getting a good sealer. I've trusted the Cuisinart brand for years but now I reconsidering buying anything from them. I found that if you try to seal anything that is wet it won't seal, I tried the 'Moist' setting but doesn't work. The trough I find is small and should be removable, it makes it difficult to clean. I sure wish I could return it but that door has closed.

I bought this sealer in the summer and should have returned it right away! It is the worst sealer I have ever used. I picked it because others said it was great. Well it’s not!! I buy chicken breast in bulk and can not get all of the air out of the packs consistently resulting in much of my food now freezer burnt after 5 months. I tried both the wet and dry vacuum and didn’t make a difference. The size is great, but what does that matter if you can’t seal food!

We find this sealer very good once we got used to it.
