The safety features are solid: dual non-stick surfaces to prevent sticking, a built-in cord wrap, non-slip feet, and it seems well-constructed so you aren’t worried about parts loosening. For durability, the removable plates are sturdy, though frequent use or dishwasher cleaning might wear down the non-stick coating over time. In terms of versatility, the ability to swap out themed plates (classic waffle, Snoopy designs, etc.) plus possible griddle style or other shapes makes it fun and useful for more than just basic waffles. Cleaning is much easier than non-removable flat waffle irons: the plates pop out, most are dishwasher safe, and the non-stick surfaces mean food releases cleanly — though the grooves in detailed Snoopy or character designs do require a little more care.
