OK these are exactly the design we wanted, and I'm sure they're a fine barrier to a hot surface, but how on earth do people use them? They're so stiff in structure they don't easily mold around a pan handle... and the hand-grab side is so slippery that they slide right out of our hands when we try to hold on to a plate I wish the painted side were grippier. Great as a trivet though
