This item is NOT a toothbrush holder, but is more of a kitchen tool holder. The box is labeled "grande canister." Still - I love them (received two of these instead of two toothbrush holders! I will work out the difference with Wayfair). The quality of the honed marble is lovely and is a perfect addition to our kitchen. The marble joints are not obvious, and I could not detect any flaws in the marble itself. There are cushions on the base to keep the canister from scratching whatever surface it's set upon.
