No sharpening experience is required to use this product. 3 stages of this product let you repair a dull edge, sharpen it and finish it. Diamond abrasives is good choise for normal stainless steel kitchen knives. The large handle and non-slippery base make it fairly stable. Good for everyday knives such as chefs knives, utility knives and paring knives.
