Very nice, more for a dark charcoal than pure black, and not shiny. I liked them a lot. Great value.

Perfect quality. Super heavy and are great with dishwasher and convection oven.

Very nice set of dishes. We had our previous set of dishes for 10 years. We should have upgraded years ago! Very sturdy and we have received many compliments already!!

Small scratches and nicks on the plates were present at the time of arrival, but not worth returning. Not a deep black, more like a mix of light black/slate gray, which adds character so I like it. These are very heavy, but work for everyday use. Would buy again.

Sturdy and as described and shown in the images. Highly recommend. Plates are sturdy and well made. Will be buying this set again.
