The hurricane can opener! Works well and is also pretty!

This is a Beautyful piece of gear; HOWEVER, it only opened one type of can. The first can I tried had a thick edge, (most of the cans I use do) - Did NOT work, didn't cut or separate any of the metal, 2nd can opened practically, not enough to get the contents out - 3rd can success, it opened all the way. The cans I purchase come with varying thickness on the rims. I require an opener that will work on numerous types of cans. I found another opener, doesn't feel as solid and not as pretty - HOWEVER it opens all cans so far. I made sure to try it on the same size cans I found this opener to be unsuccessful at opening. I’ve never had can opener quite this sturdy. You can tell by the weight that it’s well made.

It doesn’t cut the can the blade is too high and rides the rim. Very dissatisfying. Since I gave it as a gift and it’s more than 30 days it looks like this goes into landfill.
