Grille-pain Hamilton Slice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toaster has a nice sleek design. The slots are wide enough to fit a bagel. Though the length is not long enough to fit a wider bread such as soughdough or rye. It toasts evenly. It has a bagel, frozen and cancel button on the side. One negative is the crumb tray is in the back, so I have to pull the toaster out to empty it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Hamilton Beach toaster is super cute and works great. It looks great on my counter top and is just the right size. I can do two generous slices at a time. It's nice and easy to wipe clean and keep looking great for years to come.

I like how the metal grates squeeze together to hold the toast straight which ensures an even toast. There is a removable tray under the toast area which collects crumbs for easy clean up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are really enjoying this toaster! The toaster we had before this we've had for more than 20 years. We were looking to get a second toaster to use exclusively with gluten-free bread products. This has done a marvelous job at toasting everything evenly, and since most gluten-free breads are really small, the raise feature that this has is great at pulling it out of the toaster without having to use a set of tongs. I love that it does not allow you to push it down when it's not plugged in so that you know immediately that it won't toast. I also like that it accommodates different bread sizes so when I make homemade gluten-free bread, I can use extra thick slices and it toasts them to perfection as well. It's really lightweight and quite compact, so it fits perfectly next to our Hamilton Beach coffee pot. This allows me to keep the existing toaster on an opposite side of the kitchen to prevent any kind of cross contact. It's also really easy to clean with the crumb tray at the back of the toaster. I have not yet used the defrost setting, but I plan to in the future, as we tend to keep our gluten-free breads from the store frozen until they're ready to use. This will make it really easy to make sure that they're toasted without getting soggy the day they get pulled from the freezer. It also has a bagel setting that can be used to toast both sides of a bagel, but I have not tried that, either. Judging by how well the regular setting works for thicker slices of bread, I have no doubt that the bagel setting will be just as good. Overall, this is simple, intuitive, and has a great set of features for everyday use.
