This is a gorgeously crafted piece of wood with nice heft. Not too heavy but big enough to wrangle a huge bunch of green curly kale without having most of it end up on the counter! It replaces a maple one, well-loved for decades, that finally split down the middle. :-/ This arrived in a fitted box that made a nice presentation on opening. It's really ready-made for gift-giving. I love that it has a smooth side and a channeled side, as well as indented ends for easier lifting off surfaces. I expect this will be around for a very long time. So far I'm really happy with it.
