With in a month but too late to return, it leaked water and the icons associated with the different buttons all wore off. Do not purchase.

This kettle has a small plastic piece in the lid that holds the actual thermometer in place. It broke and Kitchen Aid does not provide a replacement part. Once this breaks you can’t lock the lid in place, so I have been using this kettle with the lid just sitting in the top of the kettle. It is an expensive kettle and this really shouldn’t have happened, its a poor design. Every appliance in my kitchen is Kitchen Aid, refrigerator, oven, microwave, mixer, counter top oven, blender, dishwasher and food processor. So I have a little experience with Kitchen Aid. This has been irritating and disappointing to say the least. Good luck if you buy one, because the minute you try to heat a couple pots of water, its going to break!

This is my favorite tea kettle I've ever owned. I use it for tea (Green, Oolong, Black) and coffee. Pros: dial in temperature, to-the-degree; not stuck with factory presets like with other electric kettles. Flow control on the spout (small plate on the inside that you can set in a few different positions to change how constricted the water flow is; how fast if pours out). Second thermometer on the lid to verify the temperature claimed by the digital readout (I haven't seen this in any other kettles). Easy to de-scale according to the included instructions (involves boiling a mix of vinegar and water, leaving overnight, and a few rinses the next morning). User interface is easy - 4 buttons: temperature up, temperature down, heat and hold at temp, or just heat. I bought this in October 2021 and it still works just as well as it did back then.
