I did a review on this Tagine a month ago. It took me that long to make the Smen and the Preserved Lemons so I could cook Moroccan cuisine. Now my verdict is in. This Tagine is a much welcome addition to my cookware. The savory aromas that permeate my house when the Tagine is simmering atop the stove stimulate all the senses. The dome top covering over the heavy cast iron pan becomes a little stovetop oven. The whole idea is just marvelous. Bakes meats and vegetable all year-round without turning on the oven. But especially for those hot Texas summers when temps soar upwards past 100 degrees Fahrenheit. And if, like me you crave the flavors of savory spices such as; cardamom, sumac, oregano, saffron and more, start checking out recipes for Smen, Preserved Butters (must cure for 3 weeks before use) and Moroccan/Indian spice blends, Make them now so you won't have to wait a month before you can be cooking in your own little stove top Tagine oven. This Tagine makes enough for a family of 4.
