The wood split after only 2 months. We have also only hand washed and used mineral oil. Poor quality.

Maple is still the best wood for cutting boards: harder woods or dishwasher safe surfaces damage the knife edges. The size was ideal for most cutting jobs, easy to keep handy since it fits propped up under my kitchen cabinets. I still prefer the traditional paddle design with easy to grab handle. I would buy again.
