I have looked at all types of pantry storage units; manufactured wood, solid wood, stainless steel and it has been hard to find one that is big enough to store a lot, sturdy enough to not be wobbly and shelves that can hold a decent weight, at a good price. In the end, I went with this unit despite the low shelf weight because of the large size, amble/multiple storage areas and the price. If the shelves start to give, I'll reinforce them w/L brackets or the like. We have mounted it to the mudroom wall next to the upright freezer which helps with the sturdiness. So far, I'm happy with it and enjoy the soft close cabinets and drawers. The cart is actually a really good size and has a pop-up table top to make it big enough to be useful. I may use the cart somewhere else and store very heavy/bulky items in the cart space. Assembly does take awhile even with an electric drill and two people. When assembling the drawers, know that little notch on the drawer bottom goes underneath at the back to catch the hook on the slider.
