There is a seam in the cups and I personally don't love that.

I fell in love with these on a trip and brought one back to purchase at a later date. They are well made and match most relaxed dining environments. My mother who usually prefers a more formal design for her dining sets and beverages, loves them. So, they may even have a multi-generational appeal. I liked it because it has some heft, so I don't feel like I might easily break it, but it isn't too big or heavy for my petite hands. Think upscale mason jars...
