Glacière Lékué

This ice box makes enough ice for a small gathering or for an outing at the park. The lid doubles as the ice tray and it serves as a lid while the ice is freezing. The cubes are abstract shapes and they come out of the silicone mold very easily. This is a great find for small groups.

The freezer at my job doesn’t have an ice maker, so I ordered this. I can make and store ice all in one place. The silicone tray is nice. I don’t have to struggle or fight to get the ice out. It’s simple, convenient, and does exactly what I needed it to do.

I have an ice box that is not insulated. Ice melts pretty quick when I remove it from the freezer. This unit keeps ice intact for a fair amount of time. I like the ability to place entire unit in freezer. It keeps the ice free of any freezer odors. The size is perfect. It does not take much space in side-by-side freezer.

I was on the fence at first but after making ice a couple times, I like it. The design is definitely handy. I like how deep the spots for the cubes are. I like that you can stack the tray on top so the silicone does not wobble when you fill it with water and put it in the freezer. The base holds a good amount of ice. I just wish it was easier to pop out the ice when it is ready. Flipping the lid and putting it back on makes it easier.

The hollow base helps preserve the cold while reducing condensation. The ABS construction feels durable, and it is BPA-free and dishwasher-safe, making cleanup simple. The overall design is compact and practical without sacrificing capacity. This is one of those products that seems simple at first but makes a surprisingly noticeable difference once you start using it.
