This skillet arrives as authentic unseasoned cast iron, without a factory-applied cooking surface coating. Before first use, season it yourself with a thin layer of vegetable oil to create a natural protective cooking surface that improves with use.
Safe for use with metal utensils. Hand wash only. Not dishwasher safe.
Before first use, wash the skillet with warm water and mild soap, then dry it thoroughly. Apply a thin layer of vegetable oil to all surfaces and heat it in the oven at 180°C / 350°F for one hour. Let it cool completely before use.
