I have gone through a number of vacuum sealers over the years, but the Nesco VS-12 is hands-down the best investment I’ve made for my kitchen. If you are on the fence, definitely go for the version with the double seal—it makes a massive difference in reliability. I do a lot of food prep for myself and others, specializing in sauces, curries, and stews. In the past, I always had to either pre-freeze my liquids before sealing or just accept that there would be air left in the bag to avoid a mess. The VS-12 has completely changed that. I just sealed a batch of Bolognese unfrozen it achieved a perfect airtight seal with zero air bubbles, and remarkably, not a single drop of liquid was pulled into the machines cavity. This machine is a workhorse. The double heat seal gives me total peace of mind that my food wont leak or oxidize in the freezer. On a side note, I’ve recently started switching my kitchen over to Nesco products entirely. I also picked up the Nesco Electric Canner and it is truly the best-kept secret on the market. While other brands like Instant Pot have tried to copy the concept with more user-friendly buttons, the Nesco original is far more effective and reliable. without failing, get the VS-12. Im officially a Nesco fan for life. My only comment is I ordered the smaller version for not realizing it didn’t have the double seal. The double seal is the real It’s unfortunate that Wayfair charge charges for return
