These are not brown glass. They're made out of clear, recycled glass + brown plastic looking film that peels off after a first few washes. Perfect if you want to poison your family with pieces of film or if you want to ruin and clog your dishwasher. Also, bought these for $75. Now they are "on sale" for $80. Either way, waste of money and dangerous to your family's health.

The bowls were a lovely color and excellent quality as well as being environmentally friendly and I personally love glass.

I ordered the brown bowls and although they were pretty and the exact size I wanted, brown colored film is peeling off the glass after only two weeks of use. I have my return in progress and, assuming I get a credit, I'm satisfied with the customer service. But save yourself the trouble and find other bowls.
