We use ours for various animal food products. From cat food to squirrel peanuts, they hold 7 lbs to 10 lbs of food depending on the type of food stored. The sealing mechanism works great too.

I bought the bin to store non-perishable food items and some first aid supplies for our storm shelter… first impression is the quality of the bin seems lacking… not convinced that it is actually ‘air tight’ as advertised… time will tellI
