These are not Canning Jars. They are TINY plastic screwtop containers. They are appropriate for about one ounce of material. I realize I should have read the description more closely, but when you use the term CANNING JARS one is reasonable in assuming they would be suitable for CANNING. Totally misleading. I would return them if I wasn't too busy to bother with packaging, etc. #FAIL

I use them for dry spices only.
