I love the shape of this Dutch oven, I love Staub! This is now my 5th, they do not disappoint. This particular DO being the year of the horse is very beautiful. I would love Staub to have a horse knob, that would be great.

Some things look great but don't work great. Others work well but lack aesthetic. This is the perfect combination of form and function - and it's my first Staub purchase.

I set it to work immediately. I was born in year of the horse so it only seemed natural to want this piece. It’s given me short ribs that fall off the bone. Lamb shanks with the right braise and tenderness, and stews that have a deep, rich flavor profile. The roof of the oven has markings that allow the water not carry off and burn your stew. It’s easy to clean and is now a main feature when the family is wanting any tough to work with pieces of meat.

Perfect size for most family meals. Staub provides the cast iron cooking heat in a less heavy pot. As I'm now older the weight of th pot matters more.

The Cherry color is gorgeous, and the horse lid adds such a unique touch. It heats evenly and is perfect for soups, stews, and bread. I'd love to see STAUB release more zodiac-inspired designs in the future!
