Like the color. Goes well with my other dishes. The large plates are very large! I’ll probably use for serving dishes .

UPDATED: A plate has started having cracks in the glaze after putting it in the dishwasher. It should be dishwasher safe, but it’s not. I have used these plates only a few times and one is already cracking after being put in the dishwasher ONE time. I typically hand wash these. Won’t last in the dishwasher, that’s for sure. Exactly as advertised. Perfect blend of rustic & modern design. Not as heavy as I thought as I have never owned stoneware dishes before. I’m a 100lb woman and the weight of them wasn’t an issue. The box these came in was apparently 24lbs, but it didn’t feel like it. The plates were packaged well, the box felt a bit soft & bouncy, so no dishes came broken. I love the different shapes of each type of plate/bowl. Hard to find square shaped or oval dishes that are not serving platters. I wish the bowls were more of a curved bottom type, but they are a good size that can hold 3 cups of soup or other liquid foods so they are not too small. Other cereal/soup bowls are sometimes as small as rice bowl & I can hold them in the grip of my smaller sized hands. Not these though. The salad plates are a tad smaller than I thought they would be but they are perfect for a smaller meal. I can pair them up with the bowl if I want tomato soup & a grilled cheese. The dinner plates are quite large, but I needed larger plates because the current ones I have are more of a lunch plate size & just barely hold all my food bc I tend to do larger meals. They stack up fine. It’s just the bowls that don’t stack up as well. I am not sure how these will hold up over time, but upon first impression, I really like them and they are what I wanted. Perfect for lovers of rustic design mixed with modern square & oval plates rather than the traditional boring round plates.(Not sorry but other rustic textured plates with uneven shapes are too rustic & primitive to me). Yes, so these are a perfect blend of rustic & modern. Give a raise to the design team, and add serving dishes to the Cairo set and maybe a slightly larger bowl for when I want noodles and a square pasta bowl.

I bought a four piece set in the gray and they were more greenish, but I absolutely love them so I ordered another set and they are light gray and do not match the first set at all. Looks ridiculous.

I love the unique shape and the quality of the stone Lain Cairo dishes. They are heavy and sturdy and look beautiful. When you put a dish in the microwave, it is not hot to the touch so you can easily take it out of the microwave without burning your fingers. I just wish they had coffee mugs to go with the set. Hoever, it is easy to find mugs in sand color.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that I can heat food up on these in the microwave and not burn my hands when taking them out and carrying them. These are also pretty big, so they are great to use for big meals. They’re also pretty heavy.
